Lisa asks…
Halloween makeup tutorial requests?
Hey everyone,
I’m a makeup guru on youtube and I was wondering something. I am starting to make halloween tutorials and I want your suggestions on what tutorials you would like to see. I like to make pretty costumes and not scary costumes. So what tutorial would you like to see?
Thanks!

Halloween dead person/zombie makeup?
I want to look scary, but not ugly. I’m probably going to first put on my regular makeup (eyeliner, mascara) and then add more makeup to look like a I’m dead. I don’t know what to do, I want to add some kind of bruise and maybe a cut. I don’t want to apply face paint or some other kind of concealer all over my face, because my skin is crazy sensitive.
How can I look dead? How would I make it look like my cheeks are hollowed out and like I haven’t slept in years? Do you know any tutorials on how to make fake bruises and scars and stitches? Thanks so much!

Put talcum powder on your face and that gives a sickly pale effect. Then for bruises/tired eyes, get a purple & blue mix of eyeshadow and dab it under one eye in the hollow (the dipped bit underneath) and smudge. If you want, put on some red but if not Then dab on a little black and then voila! Tired, black bruised eyes ;)

I’m SCARED To Ask My Mom for Makeup? Age 13 1/2?
Heyyy everyone! So I’m 13 and a half, turning 14 in just a couple months after Christmas!! :D
I’ve been watching “makeup tutorials” on youtube ever since my last birthday!!!.
My mom is pretty strict. My dad doesn’t care lol. My older sis doesn’t wear makeup at all, but I think she wants to wear makeup (she keeps bringing up the topic). I just wanna wear mascara, a TINY bit of eyeliner on my upper lash line, and an eyelash curler. Maybe a milk eye pencil; it might come in handy! :)
My mom only wears foundation and that’s pretty much all the makeup we have in our house. I’ve been digging through her stuff to see if she has any leftover mascara samples, but nope. All trashed.
It’s pretty awkward and scary asking my mom for these things, especially since she doesn’t want me growing up!! You get me right? :O Little girl forever… Except these days, she keeps saying that I’m acting more mature than usual hahah
So Should I ask her for Halloween? Er.. Christmas? Nahh, not christmas, no, not on that public list!
Tips? Help? Anything is great!! :D
~Desperate teen who wants makeup!
P.S. She’s asked me if I needed makeup (in a kind of joking manner, IDK) in the morning while she was putting foundation on, but in impulse, I accidentally said NAHH!! >:O I’m so mad at myself Lol
No, Haha, not literally “leftover” mascara, ew that would be gross! I meant like the sample mascara bottles she never used from makeup bags and had TONS of them until she gave them all away!!

I know this has nothing to do with the question, but trust me girly, asking to wear makeup isn’t awkward. Wait until you ask if you can go on birth control. Anyways ha ha. Going along with your question. Just be super upfront about it. Don’t hold back, and don’t make excuses. Just tell her, i am getting older now, and i want to start wearing a small amount of makeup. Just Mascara and eyeliner. Tell her why you want to wear it, and just be calm and mature. Don’t throw a fit about it because this will make it less likely that you will get to. Even if its just eyeliner and mascara that she lets you have and not the milk eye pencil, you should be appreciative. But always be mature about it.
Also, if she ever does have left over mascara’s, don’t use it. There is bacteria from her eyes that could infect yours. Just another tip

What should I be for Halloween?
Halloween is coming up, and I really need an idea of what I’m gonna be so I can practice the makeup look. (Last year my makeup wasn’t that good because I didn’t have all the correct supplies, or the practice). I sort of want to be scary, and was thinking about a creepy doll. I’m widely open to new ideas! Please give me a good creepy costume idea :] xo
(A tutorial would be greatly appreciated!)
