What is a good way to account for Slenderman’s Height in a costume?
So, I’m working on a Slenderman (http://theslenderman.wikia.com/wiki/Slender_Man) costume (for my own reasons) and I have nearly everything set out, except one thing: stilts. So, my question is this: Where can I find a good set of stilts. I already know about drywall stilts and I think them to be a good fallback plan, but they seem too wide for a Slender Man costume, too bulky, I’ll use them if I have to, but I’m wondering if there’s anything better. I am definitely NOT interested in anything like this:

or like this:

so don’t bother pointing me to them. I need something LIKE drywall stilts, but slimmer… slender, if you will.
I am planning on getting them through eBay, what I’m looking for is a KIND of stilt. Not where to get it.

How can I appear taller in costume?
I am going as Slender Man for halloween and I am just not tall enough to pull it off. I don’t actually need to be taller, but appear just a few inches taller. Any ideas? (I know it isn’t anywhere close to halloween just bear with me here)

Take a page from Frankenstein’s monster: platform shoes, pants too short, sleeves too short. Or just go with the platforms. You could also try shoe insert lifts, which are essentially pads inserted into your shoes placed under your heels.

What do you think of my Halloween story idea?
Remember, this is just the IDEA. There will be a lot more details and things added as I think of them. However, I would like your opinion on what I am mentioning SO FAR and if you think it is a good start.
Idea: Young woman wears a gypsy type costume: shirt (or sweater) tucked into tightly belted flowing skirt. She also has on a headband. She calls herself Gypsy Mango. The story will start when she wakes up, still wearing her costume. She is in a strange area, in an abandoned building. She does not know if Halloween is still on or if it is a different day but it looks like night-time outside so it’s Halloweenish enough. Her outfit feels tight so she tries to un-tuck the shirt but it will not come off… nor will the belt. She cannot take off her clothes. Suddenly, a lot of weird crazy people (or people/creatures) come walking around, talking insane gibberish and threatening violence. After a while, one person/creature tells her she cannot escape The Community (the name for the area where she is) unless she can take off her outfit. The clothes have a strange chemical/metaphysical reaction when they are together and that causesThe Community and the creatures to exist. However, she has to get a certain key from a macho woman monster called Bertha The Man who is jealous that Gypsy Mango is so slender while Bertha The Man is around three hundred and fifty pounds and looks like Ernest Borgnine would be Charo by comparison. So, Bertha will not give Gypsy the key so Gypsy has to conspire with the other people/creatures to hurt Bertha. But, Gypsy cannot tell the creatures why she wants to hurt Bertha because then they’ll know The Community will disappear. Gypsy Mango is in quite a pickle.
What do you think?

I think it’s a very good idea. I’m not a professional, I’m just an avid 13-year-old reader, but it seems like you already have everything a good book needs planned out. Unique main characters, a plot that can keep a reader interested, and a conflict that the events in the story will lead up to solving.
