Which of the costumed crime fighters is the lamest?
Please note that I have made a point of not referring to super heroes. There are a number of costumed crime fighters – Batman and Captain America being the most obvious – who are not in any real sense super heroes. Super heroes are characters like Thor, Spiderman and – most obviously – Superman; characters with powers not enjoyed by normal human beings.
Yes, it is true that there are comic book crime fighters who are not costumed a la Hercules and Ben Grimm. They should be included in your consideration.

There are a lot of lame characters out there. I never warmed up to the Martian Manhunter, for instance, which makes Miss Martian seem all the more absurd to me. The one that takes the cake, though, has to be Bwana Beast. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%27wana_Beast
It’s a common misconception that Captain America has no powers, though. He is super-strong and super-agile in addition to being extremely well trained. Why do you think both villains and the U. S. Govt. Spend so much time and effort trying to duplicate the formula that created him? In a world of supers that wouldn’t make much sense.
To the other answerer, the original superhero, Superman, was designed to look like a professional boxer, and in those days boxers dressed kind of like circus acrobats have always dressed. Yeah, it looks like the underwear is on the outside. So how is that any different than pants designed to look like they’re riding down, leaving the underwear exposed? Seems just as ridiculous to me, but they were both in style in their day.
For a long time the style was kept as traditional. Since costumes are routinely redesigned for film, though, those old designs changed. Not even Superman has panties to go with his cape these days.

Which spiderman is this?
Okay, i ‘m new to comics (please don’t troll me!) And my bro before moving gave me some comics a few years ago, recently I picked up the spider-man comics that he gave me, and I noticed that #412 blood brothers 6 of 6 he has the costume that is basically featured in the reboot, and I just looked up some other spider-man issue continueing after 412 and saw the traditional costume, is there a difference? Is one the clone or does peter have two costumes? Thanks, oh I also want to draw the 412 one so I just want a little info :)
admin answers:

Is it weird to have a gay Superhero/Supervillian feet/shoe fetish?
I have a gay Foot/Shoe/Sock Fetish, which is pretty common and socially acceptable, but sometimes it also transcends into the realm of fiction, like with Comic Book Superheroes and Supervillians. I like characters like Spiderman, Venom, and Spawn who have shoe soles with colors like Blue and Purple that stands out with their dark costumes and such. Is this weird and does anyone else have this kind of fetish that I have?
admin answers:
No i have the same kind of fetish i think its kinky

Why does Spider-Man do what he does? Why is he a superhero?
Please Read
This has been boggling me for a while. Hear me out.
Superman was sent to earth to save mankind its his destiny to
Batmans parents were shot so he fights to make a better city where no one has to go through the same thing he did
But i dont get why Spider-Man does what he does
His uncle was killed and he caught the guy so thats done with. Great power comes great responsibility (great quote). Ok so dont use your powers for evil that doesnt audomaticality mean dress up and fight crime. And why does he say that away? Hes just 18 what power is he talking about? he doesnt know hes spiderman soo…?
I digress but I still dont get it. Peter Parker is some nerdy guy interested in science just because you now have powers doesnt audomatically mean you fight crime. He didnt show any sign of wanting to help people he could barely help himself. Doesnt mean hes a bad guy or should be a super villain, im just sayn a straight up costume hero doesnt make sence to me
I read somewhere in the early spiderman comics he read comic books so it inspired him but thats just a lame reason
Im mostly talking about the movie.
Yes, be responsible with your powers but how does that mean you now audomatically have to be a superhero
Yes you get your license so be responsible and not run anyone over but that doesnt audomatically mean go join and race in nascar. Idk thats jst me i feel like im missing somthing here. I lik spiderman but dnt kno why he does it
Thoughts?
admin answers:
I am like you I dont know why his uncle ben said power with responcibillity thing but I think spider man does what he does because now this is from the movie but he was the one who let the bad guy go and I dont know if he did that it the comic book but in the movie he feels guilty and saving others from the fate of his uncle is how he repays and keeps his uncle memory alive. In the comics he is realises he is now unique and not a small nerd but a person with power. If I has his power I would go in the opposite direction

Tell me everything you know about Spider Man 3 & Venom (in the new movie). Read the addditional details!!!!?
Spider Man 3 comes out May 24th, 2007. But I’ve never heard of Venom (the dark spiderman), because I dont read the comics. What do you know about Venom from the comics (state your source (i.e. DC Comics: Spiderman 2009)). What do you know about Spider Man 3 (the movie)? Does Venom come out of Spiderman? Can he take the “costume” off? What do you know about them? Please share.

I considered writing the whole thing for you, but wilkipedia had it organized perfectly, so I copied the info that was relevant to your question below. I hope it helps you understand a bit more about Venom–from the comic books anyway.

While embroiled in a minor storyline fighting the Secret Wars on an alien planet, Spider-Man had to give up his web shooters to help the heroes escape being crushed by a mountain (dropped on them by the Molecule Man). Needing to find equipment to replace his web shooters, Spider-Man was informed by other heroes of a machine in a nearby lab that could repair his suit. Spidey went searching, but unwittingly activated the wrong machine, freeing from imprisonment a sentient alien symbiote. As Spider-Man touched the black blob, it flowed over his body, forming a new costume which he soon discovered responded to his thoughts, was able to mimic street clothes and seemed to provide an inexhaustible supply of webbing. Once back on Earth, Spider-Man learned the true nature of the costume, and discovered that the symbiote desired to fuse permanently with him, enveloping him at night as he slept, using his unconscious body to go out and fight crime. With the aid of Mister Fantastic, Spider-Man removed the costume by using sonic waves, to which it was vulnerable, but it broke free from the Fantastic Four’s custody, and attempted to bond itself to Spider-Man in a church tower. The clanging of the church bells, coupled with Spidey’s forced rejection of the symbiote, weakened the alien, and it slithered away, seemingly to die.
Meanwhile, reporter Eddie Brock had been penning a number of articles in The Daily Globe on the recent Sin-Eater case, a storyline that ran in Amazing Spider-Man’s sister title, The Spectacular Spider-Man. Following a false lead, he proceeded to write a series of columns identifying Emil Gregg as the perpetrator of the crimes. When Spider-Man caught the real criminal, policeman Stan Carter, Emil Gregg was discovered to be a compulsive confessor. The Globe became a laughing stock, Brock was fired, shunned by his peers, and forced to write scathing celebrity exposés and alien abduction drivel for the scandal rags. Brock took up weight lifting in the hopes of reducing his stress, but was unsuccessful in alleviating his obsessive hatred of Spider-Man. Planning to kill himself, Eddie went to a church to apologize to God for not being strong enough to handle life. There, Eddie was discovered by the alien costume, which bonded to him. Because of the symbiote’s previous connection with Peter Parker, Brock was now aware of Spider-Man’s secret identity. This increased Brock’s hatred for both Parker and Spider-Man, leading Venom to become one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous rogues.

Just to add a couple of things about Venom:
–Venom knows that Spider-Man is Peter Parker. The alien symbiote told Eddie Brock.
–Venom does NOT trigger Spider-Man’s “spidey sense.” Because of this, Venom is one of the few villians that can attempt an ambush on Spidey, and succeed.

What Movie/Comic Book Characters use a Camera?
I’m currently brainstorming a halloween costume, and since I’m a photographer, I’m hoping to find a costume that would allow me to have my camera with me and still be in character.
So far, I thought of Peter Parker from Spiderman. I’ll wear nerdy or conservative clothing, with the spider mine suit underneath the shirt.
Anyone have any other suggestions to characters that use/hold a camera as either themselves or their alter ego?
Thanks.

I don’t know how well known of a character you want, but Bradley Cooper’s character from Midnight Meat Train had a camera.
The Jimmy Olsen answer was a good one.
