Joseph asks…
Do you know how to make an awesome halloween costume?
I mean homemade. I was thinking something like a broccoli or strawberry, but any fruit or vegetable would be great.

I know how to make a xmas tree. Buy a couple yards of green felt, cut out two big triangles and glue it to a sweat shirt, sew the edges together. Leave room for your head and paint your face green, spray hair green. Make a yellow felt star shaped hat and glue/sew on different colored shapes of felt for decorations. You could use glitter glue to make them sparkle. It would be cool if you could add lights somehow, too. You could also wear brown sweat pants and shoes for the trunk. Lol

I always wear homemade costumes…i dont sew them or anything, i just mix and match. A couple of years ago, i was a school girl. I wore a collared shirt with my dad’s tie, and short skirt, high socks, and pigtails. It was really cute and easy.
Another year, i was a baseball player. I wore a jersy and softball paints and a hat.
Whatever you want to be, you can probably make it yourself. Like if you want to be a fairy, you can make wings out of cardboard and make a wand, wear a ballet skirt and tights, etc.
Good luck and i hope it turns out great!

What homemade crafts do you make?
My friend and I are looking into doing crafts to sell. We have been making pillows and we were wondering what crafts you do and how you do them? We are looking into making jewelry, or some soaps? We are looking into easy crafts or at least cheap ones because we don’t have alot of money. Any/all help or advice would be great thanks! :)

I love making jewelry, buying the basic equipment does not have to be expensive, shop around. I love that I can have a simple design to wear in a couple hours of work. And I watch the bead stores for sales. It is fairly easy to learn, I learned how to string and attach the clasp in about 20 minutes, you could too. Fancy designs of course take longer, and take pricier stuff.
I sew, I make aprons, human clothes, doll clothes, and am about to make a stuffed animal. Go to Simplicity patterns online, and look through the costume and craft sections. They have some really cute things. And being able to design your own halloween costume without having to buy it or rent it would be a bonus.
I make all kinds of Xmas ornaments, beaded, painted.
I am going to make all my friends a Xmas stocking next year from felt. This is fairly easy, and it cn be decorated.
My latest project is learning how to make fabric flowers. I can make roses and gardenias with wired ribbon, and am working on learning in fabrics. Vogue patterns has a how to pattern that I just bought.
I make wreaths, baskets of flowers, gift baskets, and I food craft.
A friend likes soaps, we were talking about figuring out how to make them to keep her in soap, and for gifts. I know Hobby Lobby has the stuff to make it.

If you were to have a halloween party what would you do?
What costume would you wear (what would you go as)? Make up? (Girls) What theme would you party be? i just want to know and have some ideas! xx please answer x
please answer all the question not just one! thank you anyway!
admin answers:
Ellie, just pick your theme and go from there.
Theme parties are so much fun.
My family is having a BOO Party.
Even the food will have the BOO theme.
We are having BOO B Cue and will have the buns with faces on them etc.
Here are a few other ideas!
Pick a party theme and decorate accordingly. For example, a haunted house, graveyard or mausoleum theme would encourage specific costume types such as ghosts, vampires and zombies. Decorate with spider webs, tombstones and fake body parts. Send out theme appropriate invitations.
Try a history or time-era theme, from the Victorian era to the 1970s and 80s and have everyone dress appropriately. Decorate in accordance to the time era and serve old-fashioned, homemade snacks.
Adult Party Themes
For Adults, try a couples theme and have everyone come in pairs. Choose real couples or character couples. For instance, Romeo and Juliet or Tom & Jerry. To expand on this idea, group themes for a larger party are oodles of fun. Imagine answering the door to The Three Musketeers, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, or Dumb and Dumber. See the potential? It makes for great memories and pictures!
A gender switch theme is one sure way to keep everyone guessing. It’s definitely trickier to guess who is who if you have the women dress like a man and visa-versa. If there are couples doing this, make sure they stay away from their significant other, that is until everyone’s figured out just who they are. We had a party where several guests did just that and they were the life of the party. The pictures are fabulous!
On the spookier side, what’s more frightful than a haunted house? Mix and match the monsters and you’ll have a houseful of scary fun — just call it the Monster Mash. For braver folk, a “Blood and Gore” party theme will give Dracula and Frankenstein a chance to shine. Have your camera ready to catch the guests as they arrive.
